is there an app that will schedule app launch and shut down

currently doing this with a combo of Automator and Calender. But I'd rather not have on the Calendar as once more daily event.
And it can't be hid in Calendar.
Is there an app, preferable cheap or free, that will allow simple launch and shut down of an app at specific times? No other bells and whistles are needed.
