I am looking for an app or tweak (compatible with iOS 6.1.2, iPhone 5) that allows me to set a password for rebooting or turning of the device.
Can anyone help me ?

Would that even be able to stop a hard shutdown? I don't see that as being possible but I could be wrong.

No clue. I use the basic, core tweaks. I dont use any of these types of tweaks, especially because of this precise reason...hard reset, boot into safe mode by holding volume up, DFU restore. They all have a way around them. Of course the person trying to circumvent these tweaks needs to be somewhat intelligent. But since a quick google search can yield the solution, I don't bother with them.

Yea, but I don't think a "reqular" thief knows how to do a Restore...or even if he does, unitl he gets to a computer I may be able to locate my iPhone.

I have Restrictions on, so no one can turn "Find my iPhone" off.

The only way I can't locate the device is when someone turns it off.

That's the best way to do it for sure. Set restrictions so that no one can turn off location services. That's exactly how I would do it too. Good luck. If I see that tweak gets updated for 6.x I'll let you know. Or if I stumble on another tweak that has similar features ill post it here.

Edit: I know you said no one can turn off Find My Phone but you also need to make it so that no one can turn off Location Services otherwise find my phone won't work.

igotYa and IcaughtU has a feature that disables the power button slide to turn off when on lock mode.
Also no power down removes the slide to power completelly. Only way to turn it off or restart it would then be with sbsettings.

Nobody can't turn off Location Services. :)

Thank you BumpyFlatline for your help.

I'm gonna check it out, thanks !

how do you only choose to disable changes to "find my iphone"?
i can only see an option to disable ANY changes to emails, iclouds, etc

You need to go to settings>general>restrictions. Then enter a pass code. Then scroll down to location services, select "don't allow changes" then toggle location services on. Make sure find my iPhone is turned on. Then back out and now location services will always be on 100% of the time and so will find my iPhone. The only way to turn it off requires the pass code to restrictions.

Hamilton, did I miss anything? That was all from memory.

oh, okay, thank you very much. i thought there would be a way to specifically choose but I guess not

Wouldn't enabling airplane mode cause find my iphone to stop working since it disables all radios? :(

Yes, but if you have a passcode lock on they wont be able to turn on airplane mode.

if you have a passcode lock, i would assume restrictions are pretty much pointless as well.

Since restrictions to location services is so they can not disable find my iphone once they're in but if they have access to your phone that far in, they can just turn on airplane mode, no?

Yep, pretty much.
If you dont have a passcode they can just go in and turn airplane mode on and then findmyiphone is done.

hmm, restrictions alone is no help then :p

The thought of airplane mode came to me when I remembered I had an airplane mode SBSettings toggle. So the hard choice is whether I want to give up that convenience of SBSettings at the lock screen :p

i get no service a lot at my school so i always turn on and then turn off airplane to force the phone to manually look for the network instead of waiting for it to search itself (sometimes can take 1-2 minutes if i just let it do it automatically)

i'm certain i won't lose my phone though but just to be safe...you never know :D

I hear you.
I disabled sbsettings in the lockscreen for that and so the phone could not be turned off.

Indeed but there are bypasses that lets you get through lockscreen and then when you're at the homescreen you can turn it off.
