First of all, I don't want to turn this into a Lightroom vs Aperture debate.

Anyways, I've been using Aperture for the past 6 months or so, and it has served it's function well and overall, I really like the program. A few days ago out of curiosity, I downloaded the Lightroom demo to test and I find myself preferring LR's interface and layout. So now I'm considering switching.

My obvious concern would be the difficulty in transferring my Aperture library over to Lightroom. Is there an easy way to do this other than manually exporting the photos out of Aperture and then importing them into Lightroom and then having to organize them AGAIN?

Please tell me there's an easy way to do this...

Is there an easy way? Nope. I remember there was a way to export your whole library and reimport it into Lightroom with the meta-data intact, but I'm not 100% on this.

Depends how your images are stored. Are they within Aperture or are they referenced?
