Is there an iPod version of Samsung Galaxy Note?

Like the Galaxy Player? Only it's missing a lot that the Note has:

Personally, when I need something like this, I simply buy a used model, then turn off its cellular radios, and never register it as a phone.
I'd check eBay, Craigslist, etc for gently used Notes.

I thought you needed to make a contract, can you escape that?
Also, if you just say you lost your iPhone and cancel the data plan, moving the SIM card to a flip phone, then move the SIM card back into the iPhone, can they find out that you are using the iPhone and forcefully put back the data plan in again?

Obviously if you get one at a subsidized discount, you need a contract.
A used smartphone, or one bought at full price, does not need a contract unless you want to use the phone side.
You can use them as an "iPod" over WiFi all you want.
I must have a dozen smartphones like that around here that I use as interactive toys for the kids, watching sling'd TV in the bathroom, etc.
I'm not sure about other operators. In this part of the world the device is irrelevant; you get the plan that you choose to pay for, but I can't speak for other American operators.
