Hi guys,

So long story short, basicly whenever my phone rings when connected to my car (connected via lightning cable to the car's interface), I can hear the ringtone thru the cars speaker, so far so good. But when I answer a call, the phone audio goes to the phones ear speaker, and also, I can use the phones speaker. But is there any jailbreak app that allows the phone audio go thru the car speakers?

Not that I know of. But I'm thinking it's your cars interface. Mine uses the car speakers fine.... It doesn't jump back to the phones speaker....

I have BT phone prep in my car, problem is that the sound quality is POOR, and the car doesn't allow me to change f.ex treble, bass..

Anyways, my iphone plays spotify really well, and the quality is superb. But there is a restriction that doesnt allow my phone transmit phone calls to the speakers via lightning cable.

For mine, I press a button on the steering wheel, my cars interface says 'say a command'..... I say 'usb' ..... And that's it.... Music, phone calls, notifications the whole 9 comes right from the cars speakers..... I don't connect thru BT, although I have that option as well..... Weird. Hopefully someone here can help. What kind of car? Ours is a 2014 ford .... The make and year may be a factor in what it can do.....

My previous car did this as well, 2016 Volvo. No problem at all.
But upgraded my car to a 2009 Audi. It has alot of limitations! It is the car fault since it doesn't have "Fully" integrated iPhone media. Originally, it is intended to use the old iPod with the 30-pin connector and uses the iPods music library. Buying a lightning adaptor thought would solve the problem, thats why i need to find a work-around to transfer phone audio to the speaker

'15 Mazda, iOS 9.0, jailbroken but no app for audio- no problems like you described. iPhone connects via Bluetooth automatically when I enter the vehicle, and disconnects automatically when exiting, and/or disconnects and fluidly connects to my Bluetooth ear buds (LG HBS-730) as if my life is some movie soundtrack
I'd guess your vehicle's software isn't playing well with Apple iOS. Assuming your audio is OEM factory, speaking with your manufacturer's service department may show a TSB software update or the like for your audio system.

Yeah, the car being a 2009 is the problem. Like the other guy said, you may be able to take it to Audi and update something or upgrade it's system. It's not going to be device firmware or a tweak that's going to work. I think it's hardware related on the cars side. Buuuut, I hope I'm wrong and you can get it going.

Unfortunately Audi hasn't any update for this. Research told me that they where planning to enable Bluetooth audio via firmware in the future, but never happens. Bluetooth audio (A2DP) doesn't exist in Audi year 2009-2012.

I really just want high quality phone calls. Looks like I need to find the "AUX-in" port in my car. The negative side on this is I cant charge whilst having AUX. Well, I can but all them cables tho.. And cant use the cars microphone.
I will still try to find a good solution.

Yep.... That's how I have to do it in my Civic. Cords are a mess but it works. Best of luck

I have a 2006 Audi. What I do is use a Jabra Bluetooth FM transmitter. I can charge my phone and listen to music/take calls over my speakers. Decent sound quality and gets me what I need. Works great for my purposes and no expensive cabling needed.

There are aftermarket options that doesn't involve replacing the whole factory head unit. With my old Honda Civic w/ no Bluetooth, I used this Kinivo Bluetooth kit to allow my iPhone integration.

This kit plugs into a power outlet (cigarette lighter) and your factory AUX, and and you plug your lightning cable into it's provided USB. If hidden, all you'll see is your lightning cable. I can verify it's sound and microphone works well.
I see another kit on Amazon that may be a little more integrated, with a built in bluetooth via FM transmitter, USB charger, and cigarette lighter that seems interesting. However, in my experience sounds through FM versus Aux isn't as clear.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am completely aware of this solution. I had this before on my previous car, but wasn't satisfied with the sound quality. Yes, this is a good fast and cheap solution...

I'm yet trying to find out on how to listen to music with AUX (connected to the car's interface), and then if someone calls the sounds go thru via AUX (not with Bluetooth prep) and still use the cars microphone..

That's not going to happen without reprograming/hacking your factory car system to work that way.
There is no wire or plug that would accomplish that without the cars head unit having the capability or software for it.

Understood. I thought there was hope
Something that bothers me is the 3.5mm input on the iPhone, it supports microphone (hence the EarPods). Thats why I though there was a form of hope.

I also came across a menu in iOS:

Tell me I'm understanding this correctly. Will ticking "Bluetooth headset" route phone calls to the cars factory Bluetooth prep. Even if I have aux plugged in?

Just got an idea. On my cars screen. I can choose source, like aux, SD card, iPod etc. I noticed I have something called AV1 and AV2. The car has been fitted with a tv tuner. If I understand this correctly, I have RCA/composite somewhere in the car (possibly in the tv tuner). I may hook up my AppleTV or like a logitech bluetooth speaker adapter. But I am clearly off topic since this forum is strictly apple. Sorry guys

atv is hdmi
anythign w av cable can be connected direcly and you would use aux, it won't start w the car turning on most likely and you may have to change inputs everytime you start the car; you also need to power it depending on the car it might be an issue. It depends on your car tbh. 2009 is a long time ago, lighting didn't exist then which is why you have the ipod options.
