I've read places that there was. I'm talking about the Toslink cable... is this true?

thanks, the reason I'm asking is because I googled it already (for gods sake) and it says there is, but it looks like a normal audio jack... so I was a little confused..

some of you, thanks for the help

its a 3.5mm and a Mini Digi Opti, its dual purpose, and works amazingly well! :apple:

So do I need an adapter? Because I have a regular Toslink cable...

Ah, I take it you've never seen that type of jack before (dual purpose - analog and digital in one). Sony had them in their CD players at least a year before the iPod was out. Usually jacks with them have a white ring so you know it's also optical.

If your toslink is square then yes, you need a toslink to mini optical adapter. Dirt cheap on Amazon.com
