I have the mid-2011 mac mini with newly installed SSD. I would like to run a disk benchmark test to see the performance levels for writing and reading, etc. My old Xbench and AJA test (from Snow Leopard) don't seem to run on Lion. Are there any good free benchmark downloads that run on Lion? Geekbench works but it's mostly cpu intensive.
thanks

There's one in the Mac App Store. Its called "Disk Speed Test" and its made by Blackmagicdesign. Free and works very well.

Thanks for the response. I wonder if there is a more precise disk benchmark test that goes through the random and sequential as well as file size, as Xbench does on snow leopard.
Thanks again.

Xbench works on Lion for me, as does AJA. If you migrated, I would clear out the prefs for those apps and try again.
