Hi everyone!

Like the title states, is there any chance of intel producing a CPU (sandbridge) that won't burninate a 21.5 inch iMac? I know they're coming out with new CPUs perhaps at the end of the year or sometime next year, and I'm willing to wait. But I don't want to wait and it turns out no, it'll still be dual core. Thanks in advance!

It's possible since there will be 65W and even 45W quad core Sandy Bridges (according to the product lists we've seen, nothing official I think). The best 65W is Core i7-2600S and it runs at 2.8GHz (3.8GHz Turbo).

The question is, will Apple use them?

Chance? no
This Event is about notebooks and Mac OS 10.7

Macs received update like 2 months ago. Please wait until next year.

OP didn't even mention "Back to the Mac" event. Maybe you should read the OP before posting
