Using my Magic Keyboard trackpad, I can’t seem to hide a slide over window without first making it go split screen and then pushing it off the split screen so only one app is in full view.

Is there an easier way to do this, or has Apple just overlooked this?

You just slide the pointer over to that side of the screen with one finger and keep pushing against the side until the slideover slides off the screen. Same motion you use to reveal the slideover.

Oh wow, I never knew this existed. Thank you!

If you want to remove the window from slide over, you can do what you did and move it to split screen and then make the split screen full screen again. Or you can tap the three dot menu and just choose the left side full screen mode.

If you want to close the slide over window instead, then swipe up and then swipe left to see all your slide over windows and close the ones you don’t need.
