Is there any reason not to update iTunes?

im guessing hes wondering what im wondering..is it safe for ppl with jailbroken iphones to update itunes.. for fear of bricking it.
Yes it is safe. I have a jailbroken phone and I haven't had a single problem syncing or backing up since the update.
Considering that I posted this thread in the "iPhone Hacks" forum, I didn't think that I needed to spell it out.
