Hey guys,

So I’m absolutely in love with my X. Love everything about it especially the camera. I am a bit of a Techaholic and alas, the Razer has caught my attention. It’s an absolutely gorgeous device and is the most powerful in the market hands down.

Again, love my iPhone, not getting rid of it. Love the Apple ecosystem and how briillaint these devices work. Love everything about it... but sometimes I get into a Tony Stark in his Iron Man suit mood and want something I can really fiddle with /Geek out/ customize/ do things I can’t do on an iPhone. Love this Phone but it’s way to restricted. Doing something as simple as putting the weather in lock screen is not a possibility ( just using this as an example ).

So is there a way that I can purchase a Razer phone, activate it, with my phone number which is under Verizon and literally only have to pick it up, turn it On and be on my way ?

And then visa versa. Turn off Razer, turn on iPhone and be on my way with messages, call logs, notifications etc fully updated. I’d like to do this with out downloading any apps. Just literally power on and go. Is this possible ?

Any advice ?

Thanks in advance!

your best bet is the android switch that Akash.nu linked.

As for the Razer, I think it's ridiculous the phone doesn't even ship with the latest Android release. Oreo is over 3 months old yet the Rater comes with Nougat...

Samsung Smart Switch made it easy but you aren't looking at Note 8 or S8+.

The SIM card has to be swapped i'd think. Maybe someday eSIM will change that.

I keep it all in gmail and share the data.
Tired of swapping sims so numbers are different
Work texts are on work droid phone
Other job personal texts on iPhone
Apps aren’t an issue the phone is a phone

This is the reason I hate Android.

I do this. My contacts mail calendar and notes are all in gmail. I use google photos for all pictures. I switch back and forth with a simple sim swap. Just remember to turn off iMessage before going iPhone to android.

not in my experience no. I tried but just didn't work like I wanted it to.

Others might not have the same issue though

You will have to switch the sim-card, when you switch phone. You will also have to disable iMessage before switching to your android phone.

If you do that and stay away from relying on Apple homegrown app, but use other cloud synced alternatives, then I would say it shouldn't be a problem.

As far as I know, it's difficult to impossible to keep sms history and call logs in sync. I gave up trying long ago and decided not care about this. Also, you obviously won't be able to use any apple-only services on Android (e.g. imessage, facetime).

But it's effortless to keep everything else in sync or accessible as you move back-and-forth between Android and iOS (contacts, calendar, files, photos, music, notes, etc). You just have to host them somewhere somewhere that's cross platform friendly (e.g. Google or Microsoft) instead of iCloud.
