Hi so this stupid floating keyboard feature keeps getting activated accidentally on ipados.

Is there any setting which will not even activate this feature? Some features Apple has dumped without caring to give option to disable them

How do you “accidentally” trigger the keyboard? It’s only supposed to appear where an input is required using the keyboard.

I find I don’t trigger this feature myself. Maybe there’s a dust or dirt spot somewhere on the display that makes these erratic inputs?

This might help:

Is it 'floating' when you are typing? Quick tracing?

The keyboard that pops up when you tap on an editable text box?

The answer for OP is no, there is no way to completely disable the existence of the floating keyboard.

There are two triggers for floating keyboard. Either you're resting your hand on the bottom right such that the keyboard switch is being selected and then activated OR you are somehow dragging fingers on screen in such a way as to be perceived by the touch screen as a pinch. My guess is the pinch gesture is what is occurring.

Only other fix I can think of is to install a completely different keyboard. I've never found one that I liked though.
