The Title says it all. I can't figure this out for anything. Do not want to have to do a complete restore. It nukes voicemail each time. Thank you.

I am not sure how you enabled tethering. I enabled mine with unlockit.co.nz.

If you did it the same as I did here is how you disable it -

To disable it go to Settings/General/Network/Internet Tethering On/Off.

To delete try Settings/General/Profile APN Carrier Setting and click remove.

I used Benm

SFState - that looks like code to me. IDK what to do with that? Can you advise?

EDIT: Oh. OK I'll try

And if this doesn't work, I assume the only option to remove it off a 3GS is to restore?

JP - My 3GS doesn't have "Profile". That's been my problem in getting rid of this tethering hack.

You can always go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

However the carrier file that SFStateStudent posted works great for tethering and working VVM.

Resetting Network settings never worked.

Tried loading the above on it but it didn't take so I think I have to restore the darned phone and THEN do the above SFGate instruct. Wish it would just override it.

SFState - Just coming back here to thank you. The link did it. Works. :)

Thanks everyone.
