Specifically: Smart HDR. You won’t find this feature on an 8+, regardless of iOS version. Smart HDR provides a few advantages, particularly in situations with less-than-ideal lighting (for example, a bright light source behind your subject).
Generally: the XS should take better pictures thanks to its significantly larger sensor. Expect considerably superior low-light performance.
