I upgraded on Verizon website and it says to get it shipped to home but the problem is FEDEX is delivering it but it changed to expected delivery 8PM tomorrow and no way I could wait 12 hours at home waiting for some package and if they miss me then it would
Be gone for more days. I would rather go to the store in person but I don’t know
How that would work out.

It won’t work out. Odds are that it will come around the same time as fedex normally comes. You can request that the package be held or leave a signed release

If they do deliver it. All I have to do is sign a paper ? I don’t have to bring ID or card to show ?

Also what is the process if I want it held ? Would it be at the main place or the city/town ones ? I live one hour from Orlando FL and I don’t want to drive one hour but there is a FEDEX Building 10 minutes from my city so I don’t know if it would be held at the MAIN one or just the city I am at.

It would be held, at your request, at your closest local distribution center. You would need to provide ID to get them to release the iPhone. You just need to wait at home for the delivery or you are going to screw things up. I have heard nightmare where they had to wait an extra day if they wanted to hold for pickup.

While I would say that waiting an extra day does not make it a true nightmare, if you will die without getting your phone on launch day, you need to take the day off from work and wait for it be delivered.

You can request they hold it for you, but as mentioned that can add a delay.

Thank you. So if they do arrive all I need is to sign and not show ID or Card if I am just waiting at home ?

The most they will do is get you to sign and they ask you to spell your last name if they can not read your signature. They will not ask for ID, they just want to get it delivered and move on to the next ASAP as they will be slammed.

I have picked up iPhone pre-orders from my local FedEx sorting facility a couple times in the past. And it was on release day. I just had to call them the day before and tell them to hold it.
