is there is good week or a bad week build for Imac?

a friend is selling a imac 27 i7 ...he has two of these to sell ... one week 7 and other week 11... to me they both look fine ... i want to know what really does this weak means ..what do we drive out of it ? is there a good week or a bad week ? like all week 5 had problems or some thing like that ?

out of these which would have lesser chances of having problems week 7 or 11?

Bad examples will be present in both weeks, as will Good examples. Its a case of looking at the iMac and looking for the defects. If none are present then obviously its a good machine.

Whats more if you do have problems both machines are covered by AppleCare so you can take them back to a store and Apple should fix or replace.

thanks .. i have another question .. if u buy a imac used ... i wont have a apple receipt ... do they make a bid deal for it ? what if i call apple care.. or buy 3 years warranty of walk in the store with my imac? would they not look at it as i don't have a proof of purchase?

If AppleCare is on it, you will have to get it transfered to your name, and if it is just under the Apple 1 year warranty and you don't have a receipt Apple with just go by the serial number.

Yes you can buy AppleCare as long as it is still under warranty, regardless of receipt.

ok .. it has 1 year .. but i was thinking of extending it to 3 years ones i get if .. but in any case i wont have a proof of purchase ...

You don't need proof of purchase, it can be purchased with the iMac serial number (I think).

but every place on apple.com site it says proof of purchase required when ever they talk about applecare...
