Is there really hope for the mini?

I have had a mini for awhile now but, it really is starting to get long in the tooth and I need to upgrade it to something else in the next while. Do you think it's really plausible that Apple would keep it going? I have my doubts but, would love to get one with the just the new chipset in it that the new Macbooks have.
