Is there something like Air Video App for desktop?

Ive been streaming video to my iphone and ipad from my mac pro. The mac pro has been converting the files into some thing the iphone and the ipad reads. I want to Stream Video over the internet, so my girlfriend can watch her movies while she is at work on her macbook.

Bumping this. I would also like to see something like this for home wifi video streaming. There are ways to do it like Back to my Mac but its much less elegant and for some reason very laggy compared to Air Video.

I haven't tried it, but you might look into Roxio Streamer (part of the Toast Titanium bundle). There is also a Streamer iPhone app.

On a side note, your posting would probably get answered more promptly if it were posted under the proper thread: Try Mac Applications, perhaps...

I just tried StreamToMe which is just as good, if not better, than Air Video and includes an OSX Client.

I haven't been able to get any Air Video PC client to work yet having tried both the Windows and OSX homemade apps.

It is disappointing there is no official client for Windows for either StreamToMe or Air Video yet, but the StreamToMe OSX client works brilliantly.

I think that the Splashtop App may allow you to do this in addition to everything else that you can do with your Mac.
