Is this 2gb ram OK for my MBP?

same thing i got, works lovely, very snappy now with 4gb

about 40 bucks cheaper than newegg, i might have to return the two i got and buy those lol

yup, just use a #0 phillips screwdriver to remove the plate underneth, real easy to change out

and make sure you shut down the mac not just put it to sleep :D

and id prolly clear the PRAM just in case

im going to assume you ment why do you do that, so ill answer those questions for ya

1) forgot to mention you have to take the battery out to get to the ram

2) if you just put the computer to sleep removing the battery will kill the system (well turn it off anyway, then it gets really mad) not to mention if you were to take the ram out while the computer was on it would freak out when/if it woke up with more ram (imagine going to bed at night and someone takes your short term memory out and give you a brand new one twice as big)

3) The PRAM is like the bios on PCs whenever you make a change like that its good to reset the setting and let it reconfigure its self
