Is this a common screen occurrence?

So far, I have gotten my new iPhone 7 plus RG 32gb for 4 days and this only happened 2x but I wonder if it's normal or common among apple users. Sometime, my apps will twitch and move downward. It freezes there until I push a button or flick it upward with my finger. At least the phone is still responsive but I wonder if this has happen to anyone else and is this normal?

Does this happen to anyone else? It didn't happen when I had my iPhone 5s? More annoying than anything and I hope it doesn't happen too often...

Your images are broken, but what you're describing sounds like reachability (double tapping home button to lower the screen in order to reach upper UI elements easier with one hand)

So basically one of the most effective way to beat your competition is to pay a malicious service to spam their reviews, and ultimately have them kicked out. Fantastic!!

Oh, ok, thanks! So this is reachability? Did not know! And I thought there was something wrong with my phone, thank goodness it's normal, haha. Btw, thanks for the link!!! Very informative!

Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to post the links to the image and kept trying to edit the links/post. But yea, I think you're right. it's reachability, it must be a new feature in the IOS 10 b/c I have never encountered it before. Thanks for letting me know!!! Nvm, haha I just skimmed through the link to the other thread, it's been around since the 6 and in IOS 9, I guess I just been oblivious to it, haha.

I'm guessing People are noticing it more now due to the iPhone 7's home "button". You're instinctively trying to click it but only registers as a tap and then you click it again bc what you wanted to happen didn't happen, which then triggers another quick tap, thus triggering reachability. Just a theory tho.

Btw - you can turn it off in settings --> accessibility --> reachability if it's not your thing

If you were not familiar with the iPhone before, I could see how this would be a worry. Fortunately it's part if the User Interface. 'Reachability' is enabled by default. And the iPhone 5/5S/SE do not have Reachability available, being the screen is small enough for one handed use.

Yea, I think you're right. Now that the home button isn't a physical button, I'm more prone to fast tapping it twice.

Ah, I see. So that make sense since the screens are comparatively smaller. And yes, I thought it was a defect with my phone bc I had never seen it occur before but all worries are cleared now knowing how to turn it off. Good thing for this forum and the good ppl on it, thanks for the input!

Glad that it isn't a hardware issue for you. This feature is how I actually get to use the 6s and the 7 Plus one handed, very useful once you get the hang of it

Yea, I'm super relieved it's not a hardware issue haha. I personally have small hands, haha, so I'm not sure if I'll ever use the iphone 7 plus with one hand. But I suppose if I ever want to get used to using the iphone 7 plus with one hand, the reachability function would definitely come in handy. Thanks!
