Is this a feature or a glitch?

On both my Macs I have this weird glitch. The download progress bar in the Dock never disappears. I have this on both my Macs, both on the latest version of Yosemite.

At least, I think it's a glitch. Maybe it's supposed to be there. Thoughts? I don't recall it being there in previous versions of OS X.

Have you rebooted the system ? Happen to me, but after rebooting it disappeared

Yeah, happens to me too, definitely a glitch.

OR just do "killall -KILL Dock" to refresh the dock
