MacBook Pro 2021 , 16GB , 1TB hard drive. John Lewis have it at this price with free Apple TV+ for 3 months. Any chance they may lower further when the M2 air is out or should I pull the trigger on it now ?

Not sure what they normally sell for there but that model would sell for $2,200 here in the US. At current exchange rate that's £1,720. Best bet is to compare the price to what Apple shows in their store.

Apple's RRP is £2,399. That's the lowest price I've seen for the 14" 1TB, plus you get JL's 2 year warranty. If you need a laptop now, no point in holding off, I don't think the M2 MBA is going to have a huge impact on its price.

It's free.

That's meaningless if you have to fight to get support. All the things from responsive customer service, no argument replacements or repairs, quick turn around, quality repairs, etc.

You can get AppleCare+ on a Mac purchased from JL, no one's stopping you.

And I've never had an issue with JL's customer service (or Apple's). YMMV.

Wished it worked that way. Apple basically references the US$ price and whacks a currency symbol applicable for that country. Europe, Australia, take your pick. I've stopped converting the currency rate to the US to prevent nausea. Recently the trend has become to even to further increase (comparative amount) the pricing beyond the 1:1 exchange rate.

Anecdotally, toward the latter part of 2000, one could purchase a flight AU-US return, have spending money and buy a full spec MBP, all for the price of just buying the same comp in AU.

Very have a similar offer.

However, about four weeks ago they had an even better set of offers. I was sorely tempted to buy something and seriously looked at the Mac Mini, which was discounted to £589 if memory serves me correctly.

Can we expect similar discounts again? Perhaps. Very always seem to roll these out at various points in the year. I almost clicked the button on the Mac Mini offer at the time but the basic RAM configuration stopped me from doing so, just.

Very don't do the two-year guarantee though. That's always been a John Lewis perk. And the former's offers only apply on Buy Now Pay Later (twelve months) though one can pay off any amount against the machine in the meantime, monthly or otherwise.

I suppose if you're not in urgent need then wait for an offer you simply can't refuse. It's good to shop around.

I may well have to go to Apple eventually to get my 16GB RAM Mac Mini.
