nope. looks like a good deal, but don't forget shipping costs. It might be cheaper to pay more at the local cheapy computer store if you can save the freight.

Particularly since the $50 rebate requires you to buy it with your computer. I think the same monitor is usually available at Costco, but I don't know the price.

changed my mind

i think i found a better deal
1.8 GHz Imac g5 17" w/o iSight
1 GB of Memory
80 GB harddrive
Apple Wireless mouse and wireless keyboard
Airport Extreme Card/Modem
Tiger OS (10.4) / I LIFE 05’ and I WORKS 05’ software included
Still protected under AppleCare protection plan
Superdrive

all for $600. all I want to do is listen to music, surf the net, and upload photos from a digital camera. I'm going to 10th grade and I'm looking for a good comp to last me until I go to college when my parents get me a laptop. This will do for an average teenager like me right? Is the price right?

I think it'll serve you just fine for the next 3 years. $600 seems pretty good. Apple is selling it for $799 as a refurb (though that comes with 1 year warranty).
