Hi everyone.
I've got a huge problem with photoshop CS6.
I have a workflow that involves loading several .cr2 files into layers via the Bridge>Tools>Load files into Photoshop layers command.
This command (script?) is aborting after 1 image loads and PS is reading the second.
Once it fails, I quit PS which gives me the prompt to save the 1 image loaded, then I get a second prompt to save an "open" image that is not visible in PS.
This first happened when I tried CS6 on Snow Leopard.
I did a clean install of Lion, installed CS6, and it has been working fine for about a month.
Then about a week ago, the command started aborting. A relaunch of PS would fix the problem for a while.
Over the last week the problem has been happening more and more frequently, until today when it would happen every time I try the Tools>load into Photoshop layers command in Bridge.
I have restarted the Mac and it has fixed the problem for the moment. No doubt it will happen again shortly.
So it would seem that something is running out of memory or a cache is filling up or something.
Tried monitoring the Console but nothing seems to be getting logged when this happens.
Running a Mac Pro Early 2009
2 x 2.66 Quad Core
24GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4870 512 MB
Lion 10.7.4
This is a HUGE drama for me. It's my main workflow for my living.
Would a more powerful video card solve this?
Please help.
Thanks.
EDIT - Lasted for 1 group of 6 images, now the command is aborting again. Has to be a full cache or something somewhere. I've tried emptying the cache in Bridge but it didn't fix the problem.
:-(
