Just noticed these flare like spots in my camera tonight. What is causing them?

Perfect angles with the lights creating reflections on the camera, same thing happened to me 11 months ago when i took a random picture cause it looked nice, i was 60% sure at the time i actually photographed a ufo..

It's called lens flare. A fact of photographic life. You can try a different angle, but with bright lights at night you still get some flare.

I know what a lens flare is, it just doesn’t look like one. Look at this pic, which I zoomed in on the church:

It seems something is wrong with the camera.
Look at these as well:

Those last two pictures are not the same. Take one from each phone, from exactly the same position, then compare them.

I was holding the phones side by side, and mine was showing the flares, while the other one wasnt. My phone is an XS Max btw, if that makes a difference.

This is a pic I just took in my living room.

Look above the tv, where the picture is, and you can see it. It’s not a flare, it’s like it’s inverting the light I have over my table. I just took a pic on my iPad, and it’s not showing at all.
