I have a 1.83Ghz Core Duo Mac Mini that I purchased refurbished a few weeks ago. It has a Superdrive, and it will only succesfully burn DVDs sometimes and other times they won't burn. So I figured I would ask here if you all thought that it was a bug with Leopard, or if the superdrive is bad?

It is running all of the latest updates, and it doesn't matter what program I use for disk burning it will still be random about when it works.

I have a MB and it burns DVDs just fine. Maybe take it in to your local Genius Bar and have them take a look at it.

I've noticed my MacBook is very prone to "failed discs" in Leopard compared to any Tiger Mac.

Images work fine from Disk Utility and so does burning via Parallels. It's looking to be more like a Finder burning issue.

Try a different brand of DVD-R.

I forgot to say I tried some DVD+R, DVD+R DL, and DVD-R. Which I think were three different brands, but i know there were at least 2.

Edit: also after trying several times all of the types and brands of disks I tried eventually worked.
