I have the official DLC Space Grey Milanese Loop but noticed the following which I dont feel or see any scratches. I even purchased the Cape Cod polishing cloth but it still did not fix this. Is there something I can do about this or is this truly scratched, has debris, etc? Kind of annoying for the price you pay.

Thanks!

Dave

Ah, OK.
That would leave me talking to myself.
I hope you don't post on one account, then answer your post using the other "you", your alter ego, telling "him" that he's wrong. Awk! I'm confused already.

That looks like a scratch to me. And, this is what I was fearful of, why I have never ordered that band. Albeit, I would love one...

The black Milanese loop can scratch, even with the DLC coating, and a Cape Cod cloth will not help you in this situation, as that could actually potentially cause a negative reaction with the DLC coating. I personally don’t think this is a big issue and you can just move on from it, but it’s your band.

No I am not suspended, I was able to get this replaced. It should not have been caused by the magnetic rubbing however after time it is possible. Guess it is the luck of the draw. Cheers!
[doublepost=1534993314][/doublepost]I've seen many of the Space Grey Link Bracelet's get scratched. It is quite frustrating after spending such money but I guess that's what we have to live with. Hopefully the newer bands are more durable.
[doublepost=1534993473][/doublepost]I've even heard of a company called Blaken that does such DLC or the like for Rolex's and even they are scratching. (Scratching my head). I've learned to call this just a battle scar.

That's just the DLC coating rubbing against the magnet, so you will get wear here. Nothing to worry about.

Thank you for your reply!

I don’t see how they could make the new link bands any more ‘durable’ than they already are now. Black is going to show are scratches no matter what. That’s the nature of that color. Even with the DLC coating, there’s nothing guaranteeing that it won’t scratch.

But since this is the obvious, anything worn on your wrist is going to be prone to scratching, it is not worth trying to make it pristine when that’s not really possible for something that is a daily worn item.
