So i bought an iphone 12 and waited 3 days for my screen en protector to arrive when applying it i noticed this on my screen and now i am paranoid it doesn’t feel like a crack just deep scratch i want a confirmation

Long are the days of the 1st Gen iPhone's scratch resistance. I still have mine and under the sun, I can barely see any scratches... now an iPhone is scratch central.
yea I remember my iphone6's screen being more durable than that.

A scratch is more of a bad luck thing I think, it’s possible to go years without a scratch or to have a day one scratch on the exact same device. That’s my experience too.

It looks like a deep scratch 😔, maybe get a privacy screen protector as they are slightly darker and might give you abit more peace of mind?

Can you see a line on the screen when tilted at an angle?

In my guess if not then its a scratch
no, I can't see a line when I tilt the device just a little discoloration from the scratch. Thank you for your help!

Yea most people told me it's a deep scratch, I brought a screen protector it helped a lot. actually, I need to tilt the device to be able to see that nasty scratch.
