Hello all!

I saw this ATD with a weird colored strip from top to bottom. Wondering if the display can be repaired. It's not the thin vertical lines that is common to other LCD panels. Any ideas if this is a LCD issue or something else?

Does the issue not occur with a different display?

Does the issue occur when connected to a different Mac?

If the answer is yes to either of those, then the problem is with the Apple Thunderbolt Display.

I've checked the display with another Mac and the problem still persists. Any ideas if the problem is due to LCD or the T-con card?

I would try testing with solid colors, (red, green, blue) to see if there's a pattern to the color changes. Maybe test a gradient of each primary color in vertical and horizontal directions.

Thanks I'll test that out!
