Is this charging screen in 10.10.3 for all laptops or only for the nMB ?

What's up with that charging screen ?
My Late 2013 rMBP 15" running 10.10.3 does not display it. Maybe I missed a checkbox or something ?

I think it looks kinda cool.

Well, the MB has no indicator lights anywhere, not even on the cord. So it would appear this is what you get to let you know battery and charging status.

Right. I guess that's what I'm wondering...does the other screen show regardless of whether booted, logged in, etc.? Maybe built into EFI?

defaults write com.apple.PowerChime com.apple.private.iokit.darkwake-control -bool true

Tested on 10.10.3 with a MBA 2012

yes, however it only turns on for a moment - think of the same as iPhone does.

It works if the Mac is suspended, and when you plug the power adapter, the screen goes on for a few second, like in the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MggafdWEdgM)

I know. But it does not work.

Cool. This works !
If you can figure a way to make the charging screen work on the Retina Macbook Pro too that would be great.
