I’m sort of debating on doing a clean wipe of my 14 Pro Max and setting up as new. I didn’t a restore from a backup when I first got the phine and have not been impressed with battery life. I’ve included a screenshot below.

Is this normal? I’m not doing anything particularly extensive on the phone.

Honestly no. How long have you had it? Sometimes it takes a few days to settle in. My 13 Pro Max had horrible battery life the first day or so on iOS 16 but I can easily get 10 hours screen time on a full charge. Granted I don’t use it that much. Last night I had 3 hours screen time and still had more than 70% battery left.

My iPhone 14 Pro had bad battery life this weekend, immediately following its initialization. Today, Monday, it’s on a better track, trending towards 7,5 hours of screen on time for the day. I do think things take a couple of days to stabilize.

That’s what I’m saying! Like I love the phone , don’t get me wrong, but this battery just doesn’t seem right to me.

You think doing a full wipe and setting up as new will be the way to go?

Did you restore from a backup or did you set the device up as new?

Did the reset and set up as new. Battery is already substantially better. I wonder why that is.

Slightly annoyed I have to redownload / arrange my apps and widgets , but I’ll live.
