I only have a few videos in 720p and that is 60GB?!?
and I have 700 photos in iPhoto is that 84GB?

So is this info wrong? a bug?

Yeah its wrong. A lot of us are experiencing that too. Just a bug.

I don't think beta software is for you.

You should backup first and then do a clean install.
