Is this leather loop fake?

I have bought an unboxed charcoal gray strap and the quality is impressive.

However, one thing that strikes me is that the side profile of the strap is black not gray.

It’s as if gray leather is laminated to black plastic.

Is this how the original ones look or is this fake?

Mine is like that. Black on edges and I purchased from Apple.

I mean we couldn’t just tell by looking at some pictures. Is there any logo / embossed symbol?! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The little numbers underneath seem legit. My urovi loop doesn’t have them

Might be legit.

It’s real. It has the stamps, and mine is darker on the sides as well.

Also none of the 3rd party leather loops are perfect at the adapter end.

I took it to the Apple store to compare against cape code, this is 100% genuine
