On eBay: Apple Mac OS X Server

It says 'used once' - will I have any problem installing this on a 'normal' Mac Mini? What if the seller still has the license on their hardware? Is there a risk that it will stop working once set up?

It's old and won't install on any computer from the last couple of years. 2010 might be the last mini it will install on.

The seller put a bug in it, once you receive it and open it, the software will desitigrated in a puff of smoke just like in Mission Impossible!

THAT will not work on a 2011 or 2012 mini .so if your mini is 2009 or 2010 or older it should work .

assuming it was not activated which is a complete other discussion

Just for your information: Snow leopard server is 18€/19.99$ on the Apple Store. It runs on Mini's up to the 2011. You can also install this on a virtual machine on a new Mac when you need Rosetta apps.

And if bargainhunter is running Lion or later, the App Store version that matches the OS X they're running would be a better idea.
