I'd say a good price is about $600 for that machine. I say keep searching.

all they did was buy a new one and upgrade the hardware. the price is not out of line but you don't know what quality hardware they added.

If he just upgraded the HD and memory from a stock mac $599 then he is losing money on the deal. I think he obtained it from someone el cheapo and added the ram and upgraded the HD to sucker someone into buying it. It comes with a 7 day warranty so if on day 8 you are SOL if the HD dies or DVD/CD drive dies.
