Is this normal? iOS 11 copy and paste

So I noticed that if I copy something on iPad, I could then paste it on my iPhone or vice versa, example like a text or phone number or links. Copy from one device and paste it onto other iDivice with the same account. Is this normal? Didn't noticed it on iOS 10. Thanks
