Is this normal with the lid on the Airpods 2 case?

I just got a pair of the Airpods 2 and wanted to make sure what I was seeing was normal. I had an original pair a few months ago but couldn't remember if they also did this. I noticed when I open up the lid on the case for the Airpods, that it tilts back a little bit. In other words when you open the lid, it doesn't stand completely straight up and tilts/leans back a little. I believe that's by design so you can get them out easier but I wanted to double check as I can't find any good videos showing this. Thanks in advance!

Mine open just beyond 90 degrees, probably 100 degrees. So not perpendicular to the case.
