Hello,

I just got a new 2.16 c2d duo macbook with 2gb. Whenever I watch a youtube video or play a game for more than 30 seconds my fans go crazy and go above 6000rpm. My question is this just normal with mb's not having a dedicated graphics card and are you guys getting the same experience?

mine does the same. even when i play a simple game like chess my fan goes up to 6000 rpm. i guess its normal since mbs arent really meant for gaming. let alone gaming plus multitasking.

wasn't there some news saying that all youtube vids will be encoded in h264 so they can be seen on AppleTV? if yes, maybe this will be the end of this problem :D

It doesn't sound like there is a problem here, what temperatures is the system reaching? (download iStat from the Downloads section of the Apple site)
