So, I have a tethered 3gs, and I've been reading about the new iBoot, and all that. But, what I was wondering, it seems like there have been so many people affected by the new iBoot, and I know GeoHot says he's not interested in finding an exploit or whatever.
Anyways... my biggest fear with a tethered jb is that if I go on a trip or something, and my phone dies, and I dont have a computer, that I'm going to have a dead cell phone for the whole trip... And I'm sure many people are the same way.
So, what if there were a way to take like a thumb drive and you could plug into your computer, and put like redsn0w or blackra1n or whatever you want to use on the drive. And you could also load on your current ipsw. And if your phone ever died you could plug the device into your iphone (obviously it would need some sort of dock or adapter to plug a thumb drive into an iphone) and then the thumb drive would start your jb program automatically, using the stored ipsw, and it would boot your phone.
This is still kind of a rough draft idea... But I'm sure there is some way to make it work right? The perfect idea would be like an itrip sized adapter that could just run the jb program.
I'm not an expert on tethered jb's or any kind of jb for that matter.
But this seems plausible.
That's all the computer does anyways, right?
Does anyone that is smarter than me know if this would work?
