Something called ffmpegx is awesome, does the same and really does convert anything under the sun to anything else you want.

Is the sound in sync with the video all the time? I tried many for my pc until i came across anyvideoconverter which works flawlessly and i never have an out of sync video for my ipod.

I have never had a problem with it. Just drop in a video/audio file and select one of the three ipod setting.
