Is this ship date normal?

Hey guys,

Im new to the form but have been reading it for a while... I ordered a 15" 2.33 ghz MBP, 160gb HD, glossy screen, the day after they came out. I was told it would ship out in a week or so (I ordered it through my college computer store). They then told me the ship date had been moved to on or before Nov. 6th. Now, its been moved again to on or before Nov. 9th. Im incredibly anxious to get this computer, and was wondering if anybody else who has ordered a similiar computer has had to wait so long... It seems like everybody else who ordered there computer here is having a much shorter wait time than me. I've been waiting for this computer since the first rumours about C2D MBPs came out, and my current computer is on its last legs. I really want this computer ASAP, haha. Any help/info is appreciated.

well, can't say much about your ship date.

but I ordered november 2nd, (MBP 2.16, w/ 2GB RAM + 160GB HDD *CTO*).
I ordered it through the canadian ADC store, and it had an estimated shipping date of nov. 9th.

I just checked and my MBP has shipped today! (Nov 6.) (to vancouver, canada) - from shanghai.

Maybe you should give them a call?

damn... whenever i order computers, they always come really late, ha. Apparently the computer store's password has to be used to access info on the package, so I can't do it. I guess i just have to wait. Its pretty weird that I ordered it a week before you did and am getting it 3 days later though... luck of the draw i guess

i hear you, as ive mentioned elsewhere, i ordered on the 24th a couple of hours after the store came back up and my mbp has just shipped from shanghai, same eta as you, november 9th
