Is this site fake? or can apple legally unlock your iphone?

hey guys! I did a search for this and didn't find anything related to this site in the forums.
it's called appledatabase dot com and it sounded too good to be true hhaha so I was wondering if anyone has had an experience with that, looks serious but suspicioussss
I'm having horrible problems using blacksn0w (my wifi is ok but it only registers my carrier for then seconds then I get no service) and I thought maybe this could be a solution for those who are so desperate that they are selling their iphones, if it's not a scam site...

Apple can unlock any phone but they don't because they have a contract with many carriers. So basically they will only do so if the carrier asks them. So you have to ask your carrier for them to do it.
 
the problem is, I got my iphone from AT&T, and I live in Peru, we do have a carrier that is tied to the iphone, but 1. They never brought the 3gs, only 3g and 2. The 3g 8g is almost 1000$

that's why I bought it from the us. soo I can't ask AT&T to unlock my iphone, I've heard many people from the US that tried and AT&T refused... I know in Europe you can though.

So does anyone know if the site is fake ? it dowsn't ask for a carrier just your imei :confused:

I wouldn't trust it...

What version of the phone are you using? Can you unlock it with BlackRa1n?
 
I just tried to find them on my maps, and nothing.
And I tried calling, and it said they were experiencing a high volume of calls, and to email them... Plus he sounded like he had an accent.. ;)
High call volume my eye.

I'm using 3.1.2 on a 3gs with an olb bootrom, but two weeks ago I experienced a wifi problem so I 'reset my netowrk settings' and my iphone got stuck on the apple logo, after using a custom firmware several times and unlocking it with blacksn0w I still get the 'no service' message instead of my carrier's name.
Everything was fine with the phone up until the apple logo crash happened... now I have a very expensive ipod touch...
That's why I was looking at this site like a possible answer but I guess it's not, thanks everyone! I hate those scam sites.... :eek:

Hey dude try this it may work for you first put the phone into airplane mode making sure the wifi is off, then reset your network settings ,when the phone re-boots and asks for Itunes run blackrain again,making sure that itunes isn`t running on your computer at the time!]
 
thanks but my iphone has the old boot, so I don't have to plug it and tun blackra1n everytime I restart.
Also, I used pwnage tool to jailbreak.
I tried the airplane mode and the reset network settings several times, I tried installing custom firmwares a couple of times, I even flashed the baseband 4 times, in case blacksn0w had corrupted it. But nothing.

and no, it's not blacklisted, I already checked..
 
If an unlock is available, you won't "discover" it by googling random sites.

You'll find pretty much all the information about unlock from one source and everyone else is looking at the same source.
