Woke up to this, which would you guys suspect is the issue?

Due to the marks at bottom of the black area on left I say it cracked screen loose cable would more likely be uniform from top to bottom.

We see many laptops in our shop for new screens.
Plug in external screen to be 100% but I'd almost put money on broken screen

The last laptop I needed to replace the screen on was a 2012 or so pre-retina unibody MBP and I definitely noticed that Apple has improved the design of these ones so it was an easier, more refined process. This ones was a mid-2014 13" MBP and I like the plastic clips they use to help keep the bottom panel secured to the laptop body.
