One would think there would have to be a little more interaction than what this article is claiming.

It looks like an Apple lightning cable. It works like an Apple lightning cable. But it will give an attacker a way to remotely tap into your computer.

Looks like there needs to be local network access, but I'm positive an experienced enough hacker could work around this.

The problem is USB more than Lightning per se.
