4th December, 2007 - 1.1.2 OTB HARDWARE UNLOCK IMMINENT!

That's right, you heard it here first. iPhoneUnlockUK are in the final stages of preparing a hardware and software based solution that will allow you to use ANY sim card in your 1.1.2 O2 UK iPhones. The cost of this will be £59.99 for the do-it-yourself solution and £79.99 for our technicians to do the procedure.

Current customers who wish to have this hardware/software based solution will be charged an additional £25.00. We hope to have this solution before the New Year, the hardware is currently being mass produced in China. Register below for more information as this develops. Please note This is DIFFERENT to the pure software solution WHICH WILL STILL BE A FREE UPDATE FOR OUR CUSTOMERS - we are waiting for Apple to release their next firmware update

great!

that means that the free software unlock can't be far away. :D

No! Think first.

They are just importing either some cheap and nasty Dual SIM Carriers, or some 'piggy-back' SIMs - such as so called 'Hyper-SIM for iPhone' 'Hyper-SIM' 'HyperSIM' 'HyperSIM2' 'SuperSIM' 'SuperSIM2' 'KingSIM' 'KingSIM V2' 'PSS SIM' 'PSS SIM V2.1' 'StealthSIM' 'Stealth' ' etc. etc.

There are really only 2 or 3 types of these devices.

yeah, i'm not really interested in a hardware solution, i'm holding out for software...

but the post does mention software, so i wonder what they actually mean? perhaps ndwgolf can confirm if their actually is a software unlock?

but it also says that they're waiting for the next firmware update, which is exactly what all the other unlockers are waiting for anyway so they can release a software unlock...

I Know nothing, just know that unlockukiphone have my money already so I will wait for the software unlock in March

I suspect this will just be the Turbo Sim solution - I don't think iPhoneUnlockUK actually do any dev work themselves, but simply use what's freely available to anyone
