Hey :D Kind of new here... But anyway.. Do you think these issues are worth going to Apple about? Seeing as my Warranty runs out in August-ish.

First off is the button below the trackpad (08 MBA here ;)) makes like a double clicking noise when pressed, it's kind of annoying, as well as it wobbles, which I take it is not good? :)

Along with the screen hinge, when opening it makes a creaking noise, which I don't think is right, and lastly the screen isn't as tight as it used to be, so will free move about an inch which again... Is just annoying :p

It has already had a new logic board put in it (I think it was that) under warranty about a year ago, along with a new screen replacement.

So.. Is this worth getting done under warranty or will they turn me away.. I'm asking because the nearest Apple Store is a couple hours away so I don't want a wasted trip :p Oh and one of the screws on the bottom has fallen out, Will they still repair it? Or will they think i've opened it up? :D

If its annoying to you, I'd take it in.
Some of it may be 'normal' hardware limits, but if you get a genus in a good mood, and your computer doesn't have extensive external damage, you should have no problem getting the damaged parts replaced.

Take it in! I have a day-one original MBA, and finally had the "loud-click" button and a defective hinge.

Bother were replaced with no questions--not even a question about when it was purchased. I think both are covered under an extended warranty bulletin...

Great thanks! Glad I got the extended warranty in that case :D Will go down in a week or so then :)

Hey, Just came from Apple today, and Good news, They're going to replace the whole screen to fix the hinge issues and replace the majority of the body to fix the trackpad, all aprt from the bottom bit of metal :) Oh and the Genius guy found the screw... it had fallen inside the laptop somehow lol :p

But... It will take a week because they didn't have the parts in :) Wouldntt it be awesome if they replaced the trackpad with one from a new MBA, although I doubt it :D

I would have it checked. You need to be absolutely happy with your Mac. With apple products it should be that way. Especially because you pay a good price for the products.

Glad things worked out ... better to take it in under warranty than have the problems still exist after the warranty expires
