If I have the possibility of purchasing a 10th Generation iPad (64gb) and a refurbished magic folio keyboard for under $500, is it worth it?

Do you need a new laptop or tablet? No one here can really answer if it’s worth it or not to you as everyone has their own use cases for an iPad.

My brother is perfectly happy with his 64gb 10th gen iPad without a keyboard. But all he does is content consume with it.

If you plan on downloading a lot of apps, movies or music, I’d recommend whatever the next tier in storage is.

What do you plan on doing with it?

I plan on replacing my Macbook Pro. I used my MacBook pro throughout college and it is outdated/definitely worn. Through my new job I have access to desktop computers, so my need for computing processing has decreased. I thought a iPad would be a good alternative because I'll mostly use it for streaming and surfing the web. Just wasn't sure if the 10th gen would be the best option. But for under $500 with a magic folio keyboard I thought it was too good to pass up

For those use cases, it should work fine. If you’ve never used an iPad before, and have an iPhone - just think of the iPad as a large iPhone. Whatever you can do with your iPhone, you’ll have no problems with on the iPad.

Considering the iPad 10th gen and Magic Folio come out to $700 plus tax. I think $500 is a pretty good deal. Is the iPad itself refurbished or new? Depending where you’re getting it from, I’d check the return policy - you can test it out for a week or two to see if it’s right for you.

You describe your use case as content consumption, and I’d definitely recommend the iPad for that.
