Is What'sapp going to update their ugly app anytime soon ?

Seriously can't use this thing, looks so hideous and zoomed in !!! Any word about an update ?
 
WhatsApp were slow with updates before Facebook bought them.

Now, they're likely to be even worse as Facebook are trying their hardest to migrate as many users as possible to their Messenger application - which has of course been updated for iOS 8 and the larger iPhones.....

It looks so awful on the 6+ that I moved over to Telegram and SMS for the majority of my messages. Love the desktop integration on Telegram and the fact it syncs across multiple devices.
 
Telegram is so much better than whatsapp. In literally every way. You can use it on every device, send any type of files (including gifs) and it's free. I can't understand why anyone uses whatsapp anymore - and their constant popups "suggesting" that you turn on notifications, were enough to make me delete it for good.

That's probably because nearly everyone has WhatsApp on their phones. It's one of those things, everyone has to be using it otherwise there's really no point.

Exactly as youknome stated, everyone has whatsapp so that's why I use it .. I personally prefer BBM but they didn't manage to attract everyone to it, they still use whatsapp so I'm forced to use it as well. I never heard of telegram and doubt the people I talk to use it either.
 
There's like 3 threads on this now. The next version is awaiting release for the App store right now, with 6 and 6 Plus compatibility.

Eh, if your friends really like you they'll switch. # Plus I don't see the point in having conversations when gifs aren't involved.

I agree that Telegram is better. I tried it out a few months ago but deleted it as I had no use for it since all my contacts use WhatsApp. And they're quick on updates. They've released an update for full iOS 8 and iPhone 6 support on the 18th ... of September!

On a low level, WhatsApp is so engrained into my network of friends and family as I'm sure it is with many other people. So it won't be disappearing any time soon unless Facebook really do mess things up (which doesn't seem so at the moment as they've kept it separate in case of alienating people).

I highly doubt Telegram will gain 600 million users worldwide any time soon either.
