I was just noticing this in the sunlight this morning...the very edge around the screen seems to have a line of LCD screen that doesnt light up...it kinda looks like a LCD in off mode, just a gray line. kinda like a Etch-A-Sketch color.

Its a border around the screen, but its slightly off, the top and the left hand side seems to have a tad more off the off LCD look.

Is it just me? do others have this? something to worry about?

I was trying to search around, found a post about 2 years ago talking about the very first iphone.

Its only really noticable in the home screen...when i open up programs or Safari it shows as black.

I thought it was something i had installed, so i removed everything and started fresh...still there.

Also, im sorry if this has been posted...i cant think of a way to search it without getting something about a drop off center hehe.

This is the same on all iPhones. There is like a one pixel border along the screen edge. Don't worry it's fine. :)

Exactly what i wanted to hear...i guess i never noticed it till i use the phone in sunlight.

I thought i did something to it to make this happen.

My first iPhone was the current 3GS and I almost had a heart attack when I noticed this myself. I had it shipped to my house during my weekend off and I just so didn't happen to leave the house Saturday or Sunday. On Monday I went out with some friends and outside is when i saw the border and I was like WTF. I happened to be by an Apple store at the time and just stopped in and was like what the hell and they told me what was up. It still kind of annoys me though that the full screen isn't being used, but it's not too huge of a problem since I only notice it in direct bright sunlight. Still, I'm anal so fix that crap on your next iPhone apple. I want FULL screen biatches! mwahaha
