I used to own a Core Duo MBP before I traded it for the new SR one. On the Core Duo, it was the original iSight with 800x600 resolution (or there abouts anyway). This was perfect for using the iSight with MSN Messenger via Parallel's. Now that my SR MBP has a 1.3MP camera (1280x1024 resolution), MSN Messenger accomodates this by only using 800x600 pixels from that and enlarging it to fill the webcam screen.

The result is the webcam image appears to be zoomed in by a great amount. This means I have to literally sit my MBP at the end of my desk and use an external keyboard and mouse just to fit myself in the webcam image.

Ain't very practical eh?

Not sure if this is a problem with MSN Messenger and an HD webcam or infact Parallel's Desktop's iSight driver.

I asked this same question at the Apple Discussion boards and the best response I got was to, "buy a cheap USB camera and use that with Parallel's". Pretty ridiculous eh?

Anyone know of any possible solutions to this?
